Jan Steenbrugge, President

​As Ad Meliora's President & Chief Executive Officer, Jan is responsible for overseeing the management of the business. With over 10 years of successful experience in diverse areas of the commercial Real Estate Industry, he has led projects and completed assignments both in the US and Belgium.  Before he founded Ad Meliora in 2011, Jan was in charge of the family’s business in Belgium and after more than doubling the Belgium real estate turnover, he successfully led the expansion of his family’s business into the US market in 2008.  Soon, friends wanted him to invest their money, then friends of friends and there after, Ad Meliora was created to accommodate this natural growth. The company grew so fast that in 2012, Jan and his family moved to Boston.  

Jan holds a Law Degree from the University of Ghent, one of the top universities in Belgium. Jan has a passion for classical music. He has conducted and played in several orchestras in Europe and the US and is currently principal 2nd violin in the Boston Civic Orchestra, where he sits on the board.  Jan also sits on the leadership council of the Berklee College of Music.

Paul Soughley, Senior Vice-President

Paul joined Ad Meliora in 2015 and is responsible for all the companies’ construction activities.

Paul is a seasoned executive with over 35 years experience in real estate development and construction.  His experience includes site selection and due diligence, pre-construction analysis, site approval, development and design, construction and asset management.  Paul has worked for some major residential developers in the North East such as The Green Company, AvalonBay, Roseland Property Company, The Stabile Companies, and Abbott Development.  Paul brings with him significant experience in multifamily construction and development, and has been involved in the development and construction of some major projects in the Boston area.  Paul is a graduate of the Dublin Institute of Technology, Dublin Ireland.

Steven Fu, Vice President

Steven joined Ad Meliora in 2012 and is currently managing various Ad Meliora’s projects and providing professional service to our international and domestic investors. Steven has a broad spectrum of experience in real estate investment, development, management, due diligence, construction budgeting, interior design, building material procurement, import and export, international logistics, goods trading, corporate accounting and tax, payroll, IT, foreign entity registration, work and family based US immigration, etc. Steven is also in charge of AM Building Supply which sources and procures building materials like kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, tiles, and floors etc. for large scale real estate projects. Steven graduated from University of Bremen in Germany with a master and Ph.D in Geophysics. He speaks Mandarin, English and German and is a licensed broker for both residential and commercial real estate transactions in Massachusetts. Steven also serves as a notary public in Massachusetts.

Anet Nambi-Nantongo, Head of Accounting

Anet joined our Team in 2016 as an exceptional accounting and administrative professional with over 15 years of experience in managing accounting functions and preparing financial reports. Motivated, Anet brings to our team diversity. She previously worked with Ascensus, a college saving & retirement finance company, Keiyo Investments Ltd(Uganda) as an accounting and administrative supervisor and Intertek Testing Services as a System Administrator/ Supervisor.

Anet received an Honors Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Ndejje Univeristy, Uganda.

Nick Soughley, Project Superintendent

Nick joined Ad Meliora in 2015.  Before entering the construction industry, Nick served honorably in the United States Air Force for six years, including two combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Following his decorated military career, Nick received his undergraduate degree from Worcester State University in Business and Economics while working for Turner Construction Company in Boston.  Currently, Nick is a Project Superintendent and earning his Masters in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Joyce Luk, Office Manager

Joyce joined Ad Meliora in 2015.  Her previous jobs included Administrator in a law firm and accounting firm where she got experience in Accounting, Payroll, Office Management, and Administration, including Accounts Payable and Receivable. As an office manager in Ad Meliora, Joyce is in charge of the company’s major accounting and bookkeeping as well as in payroll and human resources. Joyce is also involved in construction budgeting, financial planning, bank requisitions, and vendors and subcontractors relation to smooth the process of business operations.  Joyce graduated from Suffolk University in Boston and earned a certificate of paralegal studies from Boston University. She had performed as an interpreter in Cantonese and Mandarin and is fluent in English.

  Ranhee Lee, Asia-Pacific Business Manager

 Ranhee graduated from UCLA with Magna Cum Laude and College Honors. She is leading the expansion of Ad             Meliora to Korea. She reaches out to potential investors and supervises all legal, administrative, and fiscal matters.         Before joining Ad Meliora, Ranhee worked at the National Assembly of Republic of Korea, participated in a research       program at Ilmin International Relations Institute, and was a manager for a national project cooperated by Ministry of       Security and Public Administration.

Fergal Woods, President of Finance Boston, Financial Consultant

Fergal Woods possesses 15 years of experience in banking and features a track record of success in construction & development financing. At Finance Boston, he focuses on commercial acquisition & development financing in the $5mil to $250mil range. Fergal received a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree from Dublin City University and an M.B.A. from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.

Michel Defauw, Senior advisor of Ad Meliora

Michel started his career in the banking sector and has 20 years experience within the Belgian financial industry. In 2010 he launched his own real estate development & consultancy company for wealthy families & entrepreneurs. He works as senior advisor to Ad Meliora and seeks development opportunities in Europe. He holds a Postgraduate in Real Estate from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics, an M.B.A. from the University of Ghent  and a Master Degree in Law from the University of Louvain.

Gary Lilienthal, Partner at Bernkopf Goodman LLP, General Counsil

Commercial real estate development from a property in its raw state through acquisition, development, and sale comprise Gary Lilienthal's primary area of practice. His practice includes acquisition, permitting, construction, leasing, financing, syndication, title and sale of real property. His goal is to offer his clients creative approaches for each transaction in which he provides representation.  Gary graduated from University of California, Berklee and Boston College.
